An exciting new release is heading to PC later this week and players will be able to dive into an epic hack-and-slash RPG.

Set to fully launch on 17 January, 2025 but available to try out for free as of 22 November, Dynasty Warriors: Origins is the latest entry in the Dynasty Warrior series.

Check out some gameplay from Dynasty Warriors: Origins below!

The news was announced by KOEI Tecmo with the publishers also releasing a brand-new trailer showing off some gameplay mechanics.

The brand-new demo will feature an all-out battle in the Battle of Sishui Gate and better yet, there is no time-limit so you will be able to play for as long as you like.

That is probably for the best as Dynasty Warriors: Origins aims to provide the biggest battle in the series so far with players getting to experience 1 vs. 1000 action and the rush of entire armies.

With an “unrivaled sense of realism”, players will take on the role of a nameless hero who must conquer a turbulent and chaotic Three Kingdoms.

Set in a vast Chinese continent, Dynasty Warriors: Origins players will “see how this magnificent and alluring world is newly depicted through the eyes of the original protagonist, a “nameless hero”.

With the demo heading to Steam in just two days, players have flocked to the comments of the new trailer to share their thoughts for this epic saga.

“Dynasty Warriors to me is a must buy and must play,” one comment read.

Another said: “Looks quite interesting so far. One of the bigger enjoyments I've had with the series is directing my officers in the empire games and using stratagems to good effect, so the more intricate troop-tactics and strategy mechanics this game seems to offer are right up my alley.”

As well as heading to Steam, the demo for Dynasty Warriors: Origins will also be available on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.

So if you want to try out this epic RPG ahead of its full release in January, you don’t have much longer to wait.
