Free-To-Play Steam Game Will Soon Cost You, Download for Nothing ASAP

One fast-paced Steam game is currently free to download ahead of the Christmas period but do not wait around as it will soon head to full price.
The game in question is Alterchase, a fast-paced parkour game including everything from wall running to wall bouncing, sliding to double-jumping as players take on a series of challenging levels.
Oh, and there are laser pistols.
Developed by Foxnova Studios, Alterchase is currently in its early access stage but when it launches its 1.0 update, it will be priced at $5.99.

This may seem like a steal for a game as well designed as this, but if you can get it for free, that would be even better.
Fans of games such as Mirror’s Edge will love Alterchase thanks to its excellently designed parkour mechanics and simple world design.
For now, early access includes four campaign levels, a dedicated soundtrack, “and the greatness of knowing that you are a part of the Foxnova Beta Program”.
Additionally, if you grab Alterchase during its early access period, you will receive the full launch update for free so it really is worth downloading now, even if you do not plan on playing just yet.
First released back in July, Alterchase has been praised for its incredible level designs and fun gameplay but as you can imagine, fans are ready for the full launch so that they can get their hands on even more content.
“This game is a banger BUT IT IS SO SHORT,” one positive review over on Steam reads.
“Please add more to this game and I feel like it would attract so much attention.”
Another agreed, adding, “Wow, this game has some potential, but I think that the devs should add more in the future.”
With another player claiming that it reminds them of Ghostrunner, it is clear that Alterchase has plenty of inspiration behind it and so we can only imagine what the developers have planned for its full launch.
For now, Version 1.0 has been delayed from the original release date of 24 December.
“At Foxnova Studios, we’re committed to delivering a polished, high-quality experience,” a recent update reads.
“Releasing Alterchase 1.0 on the original launch date of December 24, 2025 would result in a partially finished game with bugs—and that’s not the experience we want for you.
Taking more time allows us to fix issues, refine gameplay, and ensure the release meets the standard you deserve.”
