Steam users can claim yet another free game this week, but only for the next 24 hours so you’ll need to be quick about it.
As usual it’s yours to keep forever, no strings attached, there’s just not much time left to claim it.
Without wasting any time the game is called Paradox Souls, which was released on Steam back in 2018 and is a bit of a run-and-gun/Metroidvania hybrid.

In full honesty it’s got some pretty mixed reviews on its store page but it doesn’t look too bad, and if it’s free it’s worth checking out for yourself.
The game’s description reads “Paradox Souls is a 2D explorative action-shooter hybrid. You play Dr Alli Rose, a research scientist who stumbles across a peculiar test facility, determined to unravel the mystery and take on whatever evil is in her path. Shoot, cover and dash your way through this nightmarish Metroidvania game!”
Again, it doesn’t look too bad, and I’m at least onboard with the graphics and of course the Metroidvania style of gameplay.
As said before though you have less than 24 hours to claim this one, as it’s only free until 17 June, which is tomorrow, at around 6pm UK time.

If you do miss out don’t fret as the game is less than a fiver at full-price anyway, but why spend that when you can just get it for free instead?
Paradox Souls might not be your cup of tea but it’s worth adding to your library regardless while you still can.
If you’re sure it’s not for you though you could always check out some of the other freebies Steam is currently offering, as there are loads of games being handed out when you know where to look.
