A hit racing game with 84% positive ratings has been made free this week, but you’ve only got 48 more hours to claim it.

If you’re like me and regularly looking out for free games to check out, the deals section of Steam is a good place to find this stuff.

It’s the kind of place you’ll find good bargains and free games to check out, especially games that are only free for a limited time.

Barro GT is one of these games. It usually costs £4.40, but it’s been made free for the week as a little treat.

It’s an enhanced version of the earlier Barro game, with some new features and content.

“Barro GT is the new generation of Barro, now with a new style of race tracks but, with the good old toy car/ go kart arcade style,” reads the game’s official description on Steam.

It boasts “26 types of cars” and “21 new race tracks”, as well as an improved time trial game mode, single-player mode, and more racers on the grid.

It seems to be popular with the players too, as the game has a 84% positive rating according to the Steam page.

“All the Barro games I ever played feel exactly the same, same handling, same paper physics, same low poly graphics,” reads one review with 38 hours logged. “However, you need to realize you only pay 49 cents for this game and for what it does, you can't really complain too much.”

“So I got it for the low price but wasn't expecting to stay and play with each car in each race,” reads another review with eight hours logged. “It is really fun to run on known GT Tracks. If the multiplayer would be alive, for sure I'll play a lot more hours.”

“Barro GT is…well…exactly what it appears to be: a racing car game with very indie and simplistic graphics. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s decent—neither overly praised nor criticised. So…yeah,” a third review adds.

Barro GT will be free until 4 August at 6PM BST, at which point it will go back up to its regular price of £4.40.
