Steam free download is a Squid Game inspired battle royale

With the wait for the final season of Squid Game in full swing, this free Steam download inspired by the hit show and its deadly games will definitely make the time fly by a lot quicker.

December saw season two of Netflix’s Squid Game arrive and thanks to its deadly cliffhanger, fans are eager for the third, and final season, to air on 27 June.

With the wait months away, it is going to be some time before we see what happens to Gi-hun and his friends but in the meantime, Steam is here to help with some of the pain.

Squid Gals Challenge is, as you can probably guess, a Squid Game-inspired title developed by Hard Shark Games.

In this battle royale, players must compete with and against each other and take part in a series of deadly childhood games.

If you have seen the show, you will recognise some of the games such as Red Light, Green Light, Cut Dalgona Cookie, Tug of War and the Bridge Crossing which all featured in Squid Game season one.

In this battle royale, the results will be just as deadly if you should fail but if you should survive, you will find yourself getting your hands on an ultimate 'cash' prize.

You must master your reflexes, strategy, and endurance as you compete in the series of mini-games which are guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat.

At the time of writing, the Squid Gals Challenge demo has seemingly been temporarily delisted from Steam. However, you can check out a sneak peek at its demo here.

With the demo being available for a small time, it could be that Steam is gearing up to add it to its catalog for its next Steam Fest so it should be back before we know it.

That being said, you can now add Squid Gals Challenge to your wishlist as, despite not having an official release date, it will be heading into early access soon.
