Steam quietly drops 14 free games you can download and keep forever

With the weekend fast approaching, there will be no shortage of games to dive into thanks to Steam.

To make the week a bit more bearable to get through, the PC storefront is offering its users the chance to get their hands on 14 free games.

Check out the Final Fantasy XVI trailer below!

So without further ado, let’s take a look at what is up for grabs.

Sound of Slash - a rhythm action game which will allow you to compete against others in a global ranking system.

Mini Mania - a puzzle platformer which sees you take on the role of a young man whose grandfather has turned into an actual lab rat.

Nordhold: Origins - a tower defence title for fans of the Viking era. Build a medieval Nordic village, develop its economy and defend it with your life.

Portal: Lost in Aperture - a mod for Portal which includes new maps, storylines and a “whole new Portal experience”.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition - the second entry in the Tomb Raider Survival Trilogy which sees Lara race to save the world from a Mayan apocalypse.

Resident Evil Village - the 8th major instalment in the survival horror series. Now with detailed graphics, intense first-person action and masterful storytelling.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot - relive the story of Goku and other Z fighters in this anime action RPG.

Mirthwood - a farming sim sandbox title which will see you embark on an enchanting journey whilst facing off ferocious creatures in a mediaeval fantasy world.

Football Manager 2024 - build your own world-class team as you dominate your rivals in the most prestigious competitions.

Tekken 8 - the latest entry in the Tekken series which will see you battle through a campaign as well as online matches.

Floor 9 - a psychological horror game where you find yourself trapped in a mysterious hotel known as Hotel Liminal.

The Crew 2 - an open-world racing game which sees you take on the American motorsports scene as you dominate the land, air and sea in a series of races.

Final Fantasy XVI - the latest instalment in the Final Fantasy series which sees Clive Rosfield swear revenge on the Dark Eikon Ifrit.
