Steam users are feasting well once again after the PC storefront added a whopping 40+ free games to try out for free.

So if you are on the lookout for some more upcoming titles to add to your ever-growing wishlist or you just want to try out some exciting releases without having to spend a penny, this list of over 40+ new and upcoming games is guaranteed to feature something for you.

Available on PC courtesy of Steam, players will be able to try out the demos for these exciting games which provides the perfect opportunity to see if you like a game ahead of its full launch and of course, help out developers when it comes to feedback and general interest.

So without further ado, let us take a look at some of Steam demos which players have been enjoying during the PC storefront’s current Next Fest - October 2025 Edition.

First up is Half Sword which has to be one of the most bizarre, yet enjoyable games of all time. Take part in physics-based medieval combat as you cut down enemies that stand in your way whilst using any weapon at your disposal.

With the developers “not afraid to show the brutal nature of medieval combat”, this demo features a whole lot of blood and gore which makes it perfect for the spooky period.

On the topic of horror, Final Sentence is also gaining a lot of traction recently with the title putting a unique spin on the battle royale genre.

Like an episode of Squid Game, players will need to compete in a series of typing challenges. However, if they make too many mistakes or run out of time, they will be eliminated.

If you are a fast typer, this is where you will succeed.

We are back with another horror but this time, you can bring your friend along to share in the screams.

YAPYAP is a co-op horror game for up to six friends as you and your wizard minions embark on an adventure to the archmage’s tower.

However, along the way, you will be able to use an assortment of spells to vandalise, break and steal but beware, you are not alone in those dark corridors.

Last but not least is REANIMAL, another co-op horror adventure from the creators of Little Nightmares.

Follow the story of a young brother and sister who go through hell itself to rescue their friends and escape the island that they used to call home.

Expected to be a whole lot more frightening than Little Nightmares, this is definitely one you will want to keep on your radar over the Halloween period.

Each of these games are set to be released fully some time in the future but if you cannot wait, you can now check them out for free courtesy of Steam.
