Luckily, Steam is here to save the day with a brand-new roguelike deckbuilder that fans “can’t believe” is free.

WildFront is a “100% free roguelike deckbuilding experience” where players have to collect cards, relics and monsters whilst fighting to protect their loot.

Developed by Ethereal Games, who “brought together some of our favorite genres to give players a truly immersive experience”, WildFront is the epitome of an underrated gem.

Gameplay will task players with drafting unique cards, minions and artifacts in order to aid them in their fights against a variety of different enemies.

Building your team is paramount, especially if you want them to synergise with each other.

If that means discarding cards and summoning minions instead, then so be it.

WildFront is currently sitting at a “positive” rating on Steam and an influx of positive reviews are praising this underrated gem.

“The art is charming and the gameplay is engaging. The developers are clearly mixing a bunch of different elements together from other, similar games and the resulting combination feels quite fresh,” one read.

Another said: “This was truly a fun experience, and I still can't believe it's FREE. Very adorable art style as well as fun and thought-provoking mechanics makes this a must play.”

WildFront is completely free for the full game and there are no pesky microtransactions to catch you out.

So if you want something to play this weekend without having to spend a penny then the Valve storefront has you covered once again.
