In a matter of hours, Steam Idlers Fest will come to a close.
Having been held throughout early February, this online event has been celebrating those games we can play without paying attention.
Whether you prefer a little farming sim to adorn the bottom of your desktop or you’d rather collect chunky cats, it matters little; all that really matters is your love for idle games.

The clock is counting down the final hours of this fest, so if you want to claim some of the free downloads on offer, now is the time to do it.
Obviously, if you’re reading this after 10am PT (6pm GMT) then you’re too late. Sorry!

Among the top PC downloads on offer is Tiny Pasture, an adorable animal management experience that introduces a wealth of cute critters onto your desktop.
There’s also the positively reviewed Bongo Cat.
For every key you press, that little kitty will tap away in a bid to find new hats. Oh so simple, but incredibly pleasant and enjoyable to play while you work.

And now one for the cosy gamers among you who prefer farming sims; try out Factory Town Idle.
It’s essentially a spreadsheet, but one that’ll delight rather than frustrate you.
Some have remarked on it not being as idle as some of the other freebies on offer, but there’s also a review that describes it as “one of the best idle games out there”. With praise like that, you’ve got to try it out for yourself.
We know we often say that time is of the essence, but in this case, time is incredibly limited.
