Steam drops another 6 free games in hefty 30-game February giveaway

Steam drops another 6 free games in hefty 30-game February giveaway

Here are the latest 30 free indie delights to land on PC storefront Steam.

While gaming can be a very pricey hobby with the latest AAA releases continuing to rise in price with the launch of each subsequent console generation, it doesn’t have to be. There are plenty of great offers to be found out there, in addition to some delightful freebies to add to your collection.

Here at GAMINGbible, we want to ensure that gaming remains accessible to all, regardless of your budget which is why, today, I want to highlight 30 free-to-play treats that you can grab right now on Steam. We’re all familiar with the free-to-play heavy hitters … the likes of Fortnite, Valorant, Overwatch 2 and so forth, but there’s something quite exciting about discovering a new potential indie hit. There are so many lovely games to discover if you step away from the road most travelled.

Foamstars is available as a day one launch for PlayStation Plus essential tier subscribers for a limited time.

I’ll begin with the six most recent additions. For those who enjoy tower defence games, you may want to check out Swell Games’ Monster Tiles TD: Tower Wars which allows you to build and customise your own base before a wave of pirates is unleashed upon it, tasking you with protecting the friendly monsters inside. In the roguelike genre, we also have Subpixel’s Slipstream: Rogue Space up for grabs. In this one, you can join up with friends as you adopt adorable pixel pal avatars and defend your ship from the various threats of space.

Coming up next we have yet another one for roguelike fans. In Team QT’s cartoonish Devilish League, you’ll assume the role of Bash whose job it is to fend off the evil Durahan and their minions. If action-adventure is more your thing, you may want to check out Geniteam Solutions’ Phantom Ascension, described as a “single-player action game set in a dystopian 20XX”. Featuring crumbling governments and rampant lawlessness, Phantom Ascension sees you face off against the Backlight gang who are “plunging the world into chaos”.

For you beat em’ up lovers, 171 Materials’ Folgore takes you to 1959 Olimipia, Italy, where you’ll play as Giove Scadenza - an agent tasked with saving their fiance from the mafia. Rounding us out, we have GameOlic Development Studios’ Trimurti Online which claims to harken back to the glory days of old-school MMORPGs.

Add in the 24 games that dropped just a few days ago and that’s 30 indie freebies to choose from. It’s just a matter of finding what’s your cup of tea.
