Steam drops 6 more free games you can download and keep right now

You can now download and try six more games from Steam, totally for free.

Christmas can be a costly time of year so if you’re looking to save a few pennies, allow me to fill you in on six games you can currently grab for free on Steam.

Steam is full of free-to-play games. Naturally, some are better than others - and it can be hard to know where to start but that’s why we’re here. To guide you through the latest offerings. As reported by FreeSteamGames, six new freebies have landed on the storefront: Taora, Arcade Galaxy Builder, Bigs N’ Guns, Garage Flipper, Rubber Royale, and Chill Drive - and there’s a little bit of something for everyone.

Sable is available to grab now on PlayStation Plus.

Let’s start with Taora. Developed by Tulpar Games, this is a third-person action RPG with sandbox and looter-shooter elements. You can now access Taora: Beginning completely for free, a sample of the game so you can get an idea of if you want to dive into the full title. You’re essentially tasked with surviving the zombie apocalypse, slaying the dead and building a base. The game already has ‘Very Positive’ reviews with many praising its high potential and bugless performance.

Arcade Galaxy Builder comes from Arcade Galaxy and Macaca Games. If you like kart racers, this one’s for you. You can compete on pre-made courses or create your own custom routes. Moving on to Bugs N’ Guns, this one’s a co-op third-person shooter. Developed by Blinkshot, players will need to “combine their weapons’ firepower to eliminate enemies and obstacles as [they] try to protect a train from hostile flora and fauna”.

Garage Flipper now has a playable free prologue too, again allowing you to sample the game. This one comes from Farmind Studio and has also garnered positive reviews with players praising its “engaging gameplay”. If you haven’t guessed already, the game tasks you with building and renovating garages and car repair shops. Perfect if you’re after some low stakes fun.

Developed by Flashbulb, Rubber Royale is another game offering a free prologue, albeit this time with a holiday twist. “Get ready for a frantic experience in this eight-player mayhem of a game,” the synopsis reads. “Run, hit, jump, and throw your opponents in the wackiest way possible. The only Xmas game that rewards you for being naughty.” If you enjoy sabotaging your friends in multiplayers, you might want to give this a whirl.

Finally, we finish up with Chill Drive - the perfect companion game if you’re studying or working. Created by SunSky, Chill Drive simply allows you to pick a landscape and a relaxing tune, whilst you settle in for some excellent background vibes. You can add timers and tasks, or not. It’s essentially a relaxation, focus, and productivity tool all in one - and it’s completely free. One reviewer said it even helps them sleep. Hopefully, there’s something here that takes your eye.
