Steam Drops 2 New Free Games That'll Keep You Busy For Weeks

These look fun!

Steam has dropped two new games to help keep you busy for the next few weeks.

If you’re after a couple of delightful games to play on the PC platform Steam, then you might want to check out these two new, promising indie games that are available to download right now.

It’s that time of the month when we’re in between pay, at least for those who are paid monthly. So it might not be possible to pick up a video game until new funds grace our bank balance.

Thankfully, Steam has dropped two promising new games that we can download today, no questions asked.

The two free Steam games (one of which, for some reason, gives me Undertale vibes) that you can download today are:

Everranger: “This is a moderately challenging single-player 2D puzzle game with approximately 100 levels. You control your piece to evade or capture other pieces, ultimately reaching the target point. Different pieces follow distinct movement logic. You must deduce these patterns through exploration.”

Although it only has two Steam user reviews so far, Everranger is currently rated as “Positive”, which is a promising start, at least.

Dread Chess: “Confront the God of Madness as it poses three life-or-death riddles—discover the answers by watching enchanted, self-playing chess matches unfold. Each choice echoes through a richly decorated, gothic pixel-art world, leading you toward one of several hauntingly beautiful endings.”

At the time of writing, Dread Chess has five user reviews, all of which are also “Positive”. While being a totally different game, perhaps at least visually, Dread Chess is the one that gives me subtle Undertale vibes.

So, there you have it, those are the two newly released games that will hopefully keep you busy until your next payday and beyond. At the very least, with a bit of luck, you’ll have a lot of fun with one of the titles above.
