Steam drops 4 free games you can keep forever with no subscriptions

Time to grab some more freebies

Steam has a few freebies for you to grab today, and you can add each of these to your library right now, and keep them forever.

Every so often Steam reveals some free games, none of which require any kind of subscription, and all can strengthen your creaking backlog.

Let’s get started with Kasama: The Awakening, which features a central character, Orion the Orange, who is ridiculously adorable.

Filled with unique and bizarre creatures, it will be your job to restore the land of the Kasamas by facing your fears, puzzling out mysteries, meeting some intriguing characters.

Some of the character designs here are lovely, and will hopefully bring you into this new world for a set of episodic adventures.

Next, we’ve got Nightlings, which will also have you facing fears, this time avoiding the creatures that may or may not lurk in the dark.

Playing as a child convinced of the existence of monsters, you’ve got three days to survive in an eerie house, with your torch guiding the way.

Sticking with spooky, One/Iro is a 3D puzzle game, filled with exploration of simple rooms and liminal spaces, on the hunt for clues.

Constructing a ‘dream machine’ using clues and letters found throughout, you’ll be helping Dylan forget everything he knows.

Lastly, there’s Blindsided Labs, which isn’t scary at all, unless you fear bright and colourful pixel graphics depicting tiny soldiers.

This is an auto-battler filled with medieval knights and archers, fighting a war on your behalf - an endless tug of war, according to the developer.

Expect cute visuals, and engaging gameplay loops with this one.

And that’s all the PC games I’ve got for you today. All of these can be yours by heading over to Steam and either adding them to your library, or downloading them right away.
