Steam drops 4 new free games, yours to download and keep with no subscription

More freebies, more fun

Steam is once again chock-full of free games to try, and some of the four we've gathered today are well-worth your time.

These are available to all Steam users and while some are better than others who would turn a blind eye to a freebie?

While you're here check out the trailer for Lost Records: Bloom & Rage below, now on Steam

First on offer is Project Hailstorm. In this game you play as an explorer trapped within an underground base in Antarctica. You’ll patrol the halls of the abandoned facility to discover what happened there, but don’t expect a long adventure, it’s only a short game.

Next is Anturi, a weird looking title that sees the player become a fighting cat-thing that can spin around like Crash Bandicoot and perform other wild moves.

The aim of the game is to learn more about your father’s disappearance by navigating a series of floating islands and talking to its inhabitants, which seems interesting enough.

Relic Hunt is the less interesting game on this list, as it’s a simple clicker game where you match up various images for points. The reviews aren’t favourable on this one either so play at your own risk I guess.

Last but not least we have End Transmission? This is an interesting title that I'm eager to try for myself, and sees the player choose how they'd like to spend their last day on Earth.

Choices include saying goodbye to loved ones, jamming out to some tunes or simply watching the sun set one last time in the comfort of your office.

It's a bit of a bleak sounding game but it looks like it has a lot of charm to it, and I can't wait to give it a go later.

That wraps up the list of freebies this time around so if any of those tickle your fancy you can get them from the Steam store right now.

If they don't appeal to you though don't worry as there are plenty of other games on Steam you can play for free.

Alternatively you can try some of the latest demos for newly released AAA games, with my personal recommendation being Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii, it's wild.
