Steam has rolled out another festival celebrating games of a certain genre, this time it’s fishing games.
This has become a year-long feature for Steam, where they pick a genre, no matter how niche, and reduce a selection of those games as part of the Steam Fest.
With each festival that rolls around, not only are there lots of cheap games to purchase and fill up your backlog, but you can also grab some cute freebies too.

Steam Fishing Fest is running currently, but it ends soon, on 23 June, bringing the sale and the demo selection to an end.
It also means these three Steam profile items will vanish to the deepest dark of the ocean, never to be seen again.
Highlighted over on Twitter, for a quick preview of the gifts, you can see that an animated avatar, avatar frame, and a sticker are available for the next 24 hours.
There’s a chubby little blue fish who looks like they’re about to get it on with a fishing hook, or they’re serenading it, I don’t know.

The frame is an aquatic blue, in a wave pattern that will make any underwater avatar pop.
Then there’s the sticker, which is supposed to look like a fishing lure that floats on top of the water, but my fatass took one look and thought it was a cake with a cherry on top.
So, there you go, three fishing-based items that will soon be gone, so if you’re an afishonado, you’ll need to get in quick before you miss them.
Oh, Cod, that would be terrible.

Better reel in your emotions and grab these a-lure-ing gifties now, and trust me, this isn’t bait.
Anyway, I’ll be off now, these jokes are giving me a haddock.
Ahhh, haha, I hate my life.
