Steam users have been blessed with another two freebies, one of which is absolutely wild but still highly rated.

Don’t get too excited. As usual, these freebies aren’t the AAA games they could be but in many ways, that’s good as it encourages you to try out a title you otherwise might have ignored for something more substantial.

Jumping straight in, let’s have a look at Rogue Slots, which is one for the roguelike fans as the name implies.

Simply put, it’s a lot like Slots & Daggers, another Steam roguelike that gives you a Balatro-style experience but through a slot machine as opposed to poker hands.

Rogue Deck’s description states it’s a “deckbuilding roguelike, with a slot machine as your Dungeon Master".

"Spin to strike in a roguelike where every action comes from your custom slot machine. Load the reels with weapons, coins, and cursed relics, then let fate take the reel. Collect Knobs and trade them with your friends.”

I’m not a fan of deck-builders so this isn’t one for me unfortunately, but I’m sure there are plenty of Steam users out there who’ll get a kick out of it, so it’s worth checking out while it’s free-to-play.

This next one is definitely a game I’d like to give a try though, Drunk Driving Simulator. I’m a sucker for a simulation game, especially ones that have a funny twist like this one.

The goal is pretty simple. Take a drive while getting progressively more intoxicated and see how far you can get it. Your vision will start to go blurry, you’ll lose more and more control of your vehicle but you simply won’t stop drinking. Of course, it goes without saying you should never drink and drive in real life, ever.

It won’t keep you occupied for hours on end but it looks like a fun one to stick on every now and then and see if you can beat your high score.

Drunk Driving Simulator also has its fair share of positive reviews at 96%, earning it a rating of Mostly Positive; not bad for a little free indie game.

Both of the above games are free to download and play right now, and while they’re probably not going to blow you away, it at least gives you something new to try now that you’re halfway through the week. For less than a penny, that sounds like a good deal to me.
