Have you ever been playing Skyrim and suddenly thought to yourself ‘hey, it would be cool if I could build something epic here’? Well, you are in luck with this free Steam download.
Combining the medieval fantasy elements of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim with the building management you experience in Minecraft, this upcoming “kingdom builder, management sim and dungeon delver RPG hybrid” is not one to miss out on.

Developed by Uncle Grouch Gaming, Dungeons & Kingdoms is an upcoming RPG which is perfect for those who are looking for Minecraft but set in a medieval fantasy setting.
Players will need to “gather resources, hunt wild animals and build infrastructure” all whilst juggling this management with the occasional dungeon dive complete with horrifying monsters.
However, doing so will reward you with rewards which allow you to unlock new resources and advance your town’s technology.
In Dungeons & Kingdoms, you will take control as the leader of a small band of refugees and it is up to you to build a brand-new land for them to flourish in.
Whether you build everything yourself or hand blueprints to your villagers is up to you, but you must do whatever it takes to survive in a hostile world.
As the nights pass and the seasons change, you will need to advance your economy and that often means foraging for food to keep your villagers alive.
However, when resources are scarce, you may need to grab a weapon and head to the nearby dungeons to face the monsters within and claim your rewards.
“Upgrade and construct unique buildings through a modular building system,” the Steam description reads.
“Mix and match over 500 unique building pieces, with more to come during early access. Create buildings from scratch or make blueprints that you can edit, improve, and share on the Steam Workshop.”
Dungeons & Kingdoms has not yet received a full release date but it is soon heading into early access which will give you the opportunity to try before you buy.
