Sometimes fighting hordes of zombie-like creatures in Resident Evil is not enough and you want to make the stakes even higher.

Well, that is definitely the case for one upcoming release which combines the horrors of Resident Evil with the survival elements found in Valheim to create an open-world where every day is a fight to survive.

Developed by HK Hero Entertainment Co., CrisisX is an upcoming post-apocalyptic survival game where players will get to immerse themselves in a realistic open-world experience and find their way out of the ruins of a dying society.

“Survive the threats from the Infected, the living and most importantly, the wilderness. Fight or cooperate with others, and establish your territory. Build your own new post-apocalyptic world,” the official Steam synopsis reads.

In CrisisX, players will get to embark on a journey unlike any other thanks to the game’s impressive 1,200 km² open-world map.

This massive world will be home to over 5,000 other players who will all cohabit on just one server across 12 distinct terrains.

Find, collect, and hunt unique items, vegetation, resources and wild animals as you discover everything from western-style towns to hidden laboratories to snowy mountaintops and rushing rivers.

CrisisX is set to push the boundaries of the survival genre by not only supplying you with everything you need to defend yourself against animals and humans alike but introducing a highly complex survival system.

For example, eating too much will see you gain weight but eating too little could kill you. However, lumbering, mining, fighting, farming and even running will see you gain muscle which will go a long way in your upcoming fights.

With various weathers and temperatures to battle, you will need to push your survival skills to their limits as you build your own world, team up with others and try to overcome an environment that is so desperately trying to kill you.

CrisisX is set to be released some time in 2026 so make sure you add it to your Steam wishlist to stay up to date with the project.
