Given the fact that it’s taken the world by storm, it’s hard to believe that Palworld has only been out for one week. That’s the truth though and to celebrate the end of seven wildly successful days, PocketPair has just dropped a fresh update.

It hasn’t been plain sailing for Palworld. The game has faced accusations of plagiarism and AI usage, the former due to its similarity to Pokémon. While no concrete evidence has yet been made available, The Pokémon Company has said that it’ll investigate. In happier news though, Palworld has now amassed over 8,000,000 players.

In our review, GAMINGbible’s Dan wrote, “It’s astonishing how much has been packed into Palworld given its Early Access status. Sure, the developers will probably expand the world, add in more Pals, and grow the story, too. But what we have here is already great, and features so many small details that you’ll be amazed at what you discover. It’s a little rough around the edges in places, but the blueprint and starting product are more than enough to keep you going.” Well, devs have already started looking to the game’s future.

Take a look at Palworld in action below.

This update applies to both editions of the game but while Steam’s v0.1.3.0 is available to download now, Xbox’s v0.1.1.1 is still awaiting release with devs promising it’ll launch “as soon as it is ready”.

The update fixes a bug where the loading screen did not end when logging in the world, another where the world date was not displayed correctly and appeared to reset, corrected various incorrect text and finally, implemented countermeasures against several cheats and exploits that have been uncovered since release. Devs finished by adding that they will continue to place “top priority” on fixing major issues,

In case you missed it, devs also outlined Palworld’s roadmap confirming that they’re hoping to add PvP, raid bosses, a Pal arena, crossplay, alongside new islands and Pals. In other words, there’s a lot to look forward to.
