PC gamers can now download a free demo for Luminas: Parasite Reign via Steam.
Announced last year, Luminas: Parasite Reign is an upcoming party-based survivor roguelite where you control up to 3 heroes at once.
A free playtest took place last year, allowing players to check out an early version of the game while developer SOTO Game Studio collected feedback.
Now, it seems like the game will be getting a wider audience thanks to a new demo that SOTO has published on Steam.

The blurb on the game reads: “Welcome to Luminas: Parasite Reign, a party-based rogue-lite where magic meets chaos and party strategy defines survival.
“Control up to three unique Luminas, magical beings fighting back against the monstrous Parasites corrupting the world of Solaris Land. With waves of enemies, epic boss battles, and evolving abilities, every run is a fight for survival and a chance to grow stronger.”
It’ll be launching into Steam Early Access later this year, but the demo is available to grab right now if you want a head start.
“We’re building Luminas: Parasite Reign to be a unique party-based roguelite, and we believe the best way to bring it to life is with our community at the center,” SOTO says regarding the decision to launch Luminas: Parasite Reign into early access.
“As a small indie team, we rely on player feedback to help shape mechanics, balance, and content, especially around party composition, treasures, and spell synergies, to make sure every run and mode feels fun, strategic, and worth repeating.”
When the early access version launches, Luminas: Parasite Reign will have eight playable characters, with three dynamic maps filled with waves of enemies and unique bosses. There are also 90 treasures to collect and customise your team.
As for how long it’ll remain in early access, SOTO says it’ll be around “eight months”, with the full version “expanding upon the core experience”, with “new Luminas, spells, bosses, enemies, and additional game modes.”
