Hell is Us just got a new free download, and it’s something worth checking out if you’re a fan of Fallout or Metal Gear Solid.
Originally announced in 2022, the upcoming action-adventure game Hell is Us is readying up for a release in September.
But if you’d like to try the game ahead of the release date, you now have an opportunity to check out a small portion of it.

Earlier this week, Rogue Factor released a small demo for Hell Is Us on Steam. The free download will give players a small slice of action from the full game.
“Beyond the civil war tearing the country apart, the region is plagued by a mysterious calamity that has unleashed supernatural creatures impervious to modern weaponry,” the game’s official description reads.
“Armed with an ancient sword and a trusty drone, you’ll carve your way through these chimera-infested lands and unravel the mystery behind their presence in the region. No map, no compass, no quest markers—following your instincts is part of the adventure. This is a one-of-a-kind experience that empowers you to make your own choices and explore based on your intuition, thanks to exceptional writing and level design. What you discover is truly your own.”
You can grab the demo directly from the game’s Steam store page.

Scroll down past the media gallery until you find a large green box that says Download Hell is Us Demo. It’ll begin downloading to your PC.
Rogue Factor has also addressed some issues running the demo with Intel CPUs, where random crashes can occur with Unreal Engine 5.
However, the developer has confirmed Intel is working on a BIOS update for this, and that it’ll depend on motherboard manufacturers to let you install the update.
The Hell is Us demo is live now for Steam, and will be live until 16 June. So you have plenty of time to check it out.
