If you’re a fan of Fallout and Battlefield, then you might want to check out this new post-apocalyptic survival game.
Of course, both Bethesda’s Fallout and Electronic Arts’ Battlefield are two very different series, despite each depicting its own interpretation of the impact of war.
For example, even before Bethesda acquired the license and released its first game in the series, that being Fallout 3 in 2006, its world has always been about Earth after nukes were dropped. Plus, it has a unique retro yet futuristic setting, not to mention it's an RPG series.
As for the Battlefield series, it has often told the tale of war in its current climate. It’s also a first-person shooter series with a more boots-on-the-ground approach, other than some futuristic exceptions. Nonetheless, whether it's Fallout or Battlefield, each offers tons of fun in its unique way.

If you’re after a game that blends some vibes of Fallout and Battlefield, then this upcoming indie game, Breaking Armor, might be your cup of tea. Sure, judging by its trailer, it looks a bit janky, but it seems to have the potential of being a fun game, and it has that indie charm. To be fair, it’s also not out yet.
“Explore the wasteland. Operate a super-heavy tank alone through the remnants of a ruined world. Discover hidden secrets and face dangers at every turn. You are protected by 140 tons of steel, but will it be enough?” reads the synopsis of the game on Steam.
“Between missions, return to your bunker to refuel, add oxygen, and enhance your tank’s systems. Upgrade your machine to extend your reach into the unknown. Modify your tank with additional modules to boost performance and handle new challenges. Adapt your machine and get ready for the dangers ahead.”

Gamers React To The Breaking Armor Trailer
“The way the red creature casually opens the tanks as if it were a feature from the tank itself is funny,” said Mam047 in the YouTube comments section of the game's trailer.

“An absolutely amazing concept which just needs far, far scarier enemies to bring it together,” suggested jacobp2024.
At the time of writing, Breaking Armor, developed and published by GalaDev, does not have a release date, but hopefully, its launch won't be too far away. With a bit of luck, we might even get a playable demo to get a taste of the game first-hand.
In the meantime, be sure to wishlist Breaking Armor on Steam to be notified of its launch, as well as any upcoming updates.
