Steam users have a new game to add to their wishlist, especially if they’re fans of the Metal Gear games or Cyberpunk 2077.

It’s a soon-to-be-released title called Black State, developed by Motion Blur and due to launch sometime in the future, though an exact date hasn’t been provided as of yet.

Black State is a third-person shooter that you play by yourself, and follows a gripping narrative.

The game’s Steam description reads: “A secret group of scientists called the Architects summons you for a mysterious mission. Save the captives and uncover the truth behind a cataclysmic event. But none of you know what's behind the doors. Are you ready to open them?"

From the screenshots and video alone, it’s giving major Metal Gear vibes, specifically Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance or perhaps Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain.

It’s also got some similarities to Cyberpunk 2077, but mainly through the game’s futuristic setting rather than the visuals and gameplay.

One of the game’s special features is seamless transitions between levels, with apparently no loading screens whatsoever, pretty impressive.

Unfortunately there isn’t a demo available for this game yet, though hopefully closer to the game’s release one will be made available.

As for when that’ll be there’s currently no planned release date for the game, not even an estimated release window or year.

In the meantime though you can add Black State to your Steam wishlist if it looks like it’ll be your cup of tea, which should update you when a release date is announced.

If it doesn’t look like your thing though or if you’re not that fond of games inspired by Metal Gear Solid or Cyberpunk 2077, there are plenty of other games available on Steam, both currently and on the way, some of them are even fantastic freebies.
