Cyberpunk 2077 meets Dead Space in stunning free Steam download

There’s an upcoming horror game that could be a treat for Cyberpunk 2077 and Dead Space fans, and you can download it for free right now via Steam.

In recent years, it’s fair to say that horror games have had somewhat of a resurgence, largely thanks to fantastic indie studios bringing us the likes of Signalis, Tormented Souls and Alisa to name a few. Go check out those three games if you love horror, trust me, they’re fantastic. Anyway, let’s get back on track.

The topic of today’s discussion is another promising indie horror title called Luna Abyss, developed and published by Bonsai Collective, a team of just 16 developers, might I add. At first glance, we can’t help but get instinctive Cyberpunk 2077 vibes with the cybernetic augmentations that seem to be present in Luna Abyss but also being set in a dark, grungy world somewhat reminiscent of Dead Space. However, once the gameplay trailer gets rolling, it also has major DOOM: Eternal and Returnal vibes.

“Luna Abyss is a single-player story-driven action-adventure with fluid platforming and bullet hell combat. Follow the journey of Fawkes, a prisoner of Luna caught between a cryptic prophecy and their prison sentence,” reads the description of the game. Luna Abyss looks to be as fast and frantic as it is terrifying. If this upcoming indie horror looks like your cup of tea, then you can download its free playable demo via Steam now.

“We really wanted to reveal just a little more mystery of what Luna Abyss has to offer, and what better way than allowing players to jump into the game and explore the depth of the Abyss themselves,” says Benni Hill, Creative Director at Bonsai Collective. “We can’t wait to hear what players think of the strange events that are in store for them!”

If you want to play the free demo of Luna Abyss you better act fast because the press release states that it’s only available for a limited time. Luna Abyss does not have a release date at the time of writing, but we do know that it will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
