A stunning new RPG called GreedFall 2 is the perfect blend of high-seas exploration and monster-slaying goodness.

Unfortunately, there’s no word from Ubisoft on an official remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and CD Projekt Red is a long way off from revealing The Witcher 4.

In the meantime, if you’ve ever wondered what Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag and The Witcher would look like if you slapped them together, GreedFall 2 might be the game for you, and it’s coming to Steam.

Developed by Spiders and published by Nacon, GreedFall 2 is a prequel to the first game that allows you to create your own character and explore gorgeous landscapes alongside your own team of allies.

The game’s description reads: “Dive back into the unique world of GreedFall again in an even deeper RPG experience. Uprooted from the island of your birth, find your freedom, explore the old continent and forge your destiny through alliances, scheming and battles!”

Following a character you create yourself, the goal is to explore a world ravaged by war and plague. To do this, you’ll embark on an adventure that takes you across the oceans, as well as patrolling the land, completing quests and slaying monsters like you’re Geralt of Rivia.

The developers claim it’ll be an RPG experience like no other, where every choice and decision will have an impact on your story and exploration.

There’s currently no official release date for GreedFall 2, with the only indication of its launch reading “coming soon,” which isn’t very helpful.

Nevertheless, when it launches it sounds like it’ll be a solid RPG experience, and one that could scratch the itch for those patiently waiting for another nautical or monster-hunting adventure game.
