Steam’s latest free download is one for the Animal Crossing fans in the room.
When it comes to “cosy gaming”, one of the most influential and popular series of all time has been the Animal Crossing franchise.
Over the years, we’ve seen lots of new cosy games crop up which aim to replicate that same sense, and the latest free demo on Steam is another such example.
LetDeco is an upcoming game by indie developer Greekuda, and it has a new demo out now for you to try.

In LetDeco, you explore a soft pastel-coloured world and collect materials from plants and rocks. You use these materials to create decorations and objects adorning your home. There are also a few puzzles and obstacles to get past.
You can place down beds, chairs, windows, carpets, and all sorts. It’s not just about decorating homes either, but you also get the chance to spruce up campsites and cafes.
There's a trailer which features some gameplay taken directly from the demo.
Altogether, this looks like a game that is best played in short bursts, and at a slower pace. It’s not the kind of thing that you rush through. The cute art is also a plus, as it’s all quite easy on the eyes.

The LetDeco demo will let you create 80 types of furniture to decorate Cheese Cat's house, a cafe in the cherry blossom forest, and a campsite surrounded by trees.
You can download the demo now by heading to the game’s official demo page and hitting “Install Demo”. You’ll be prompted to download the demo and install it for playing.
As for when LetDeco will be released, there’s no concrete release date confirmed yet. However, Greekuda has confirmed that it is targeting a December 2025 release for the game.
