A Star Wars RPG shouldn’t be such a tricky game to make, yet it’s surprising how many fans feel like official titles have fallen short.

This is part of the reason Star Wars fans are losing it over this open-world RPG inspired by the franchise.

Creative fans have helped develop one of the most exciting Star Wars experiences thus far.

Having been largely underwhelmed by Star Wars Outlaws, gamers feel like this RPG understood the assignment.

“I really hope devs that have Star Wars license see the potential in this, and understand that we just want to play an open-world Star Wars game where you can be whoever you want,” remarked YouTube user @papalord258.

“This is the dream of every star wars fan.”

Check out 'The Open World Star Wars RPG Project' to see this stunning mod in action

‘The Open World Star Wars RPG Project’ may not have the catchiest name, but it more than makes up for it via its gameplay.

In case you’ve not previously heard of this project, it’s a huge PC mod that overhauls Starfield and gives it a much-needed Star Wars update.

User @biscottibandit2709 said, “I only bought Starfield because I knew how much potential a Star Wars Bethesda-like game could have. Looks like I was right. You and the modders made my purchase worth it!”

Here at GAMINGbible, we enjoyed our time with Star Wars Outlaws, though we understand why many fans felt it lacked a certain something.

Arguably, gamers wanted more freedom to tailor the experience to their interests rather than to be locked in as a certain character.

This Star Wars fan-made project may not be the perfect solution to this problem, but it’s a damn sight better than just waiting for devs to create what the fandom wants.

Not only is this “ambitious” mod exceeding expectations, but it’s also free to download and enjoy for yourselves.

If you’ve got a Star Wars RPG shaped hole in your heart, this will fill it.
