If you long to play through a new RPG that has elements from popular franchises, there’s a freebie you should check out.

As much as we adore playing the Fallout series, eventually we long for a new type of adventure.

Sometimes with a space age twist.

We could start a new playthrough of Starfield, but most of that is too familiar to us now.

This is why you need to check out this ambitious open-world RPG that you can download for free.

See for yourself how cool this game looks

Created upon the foundations of Fallout: New Vegas, this title is a huge DLC-sized mod that gives you the Star Wars adventure you’ve been longing for.

As explained by its creator, Bundicot, “Star Wars Open World is a total conversion mod for Fallout: New Vegas that completely changes New Vegas into a full blown Star Wars open world RPG!”

And transform it it does.

You wouldn’t think this had anything to do with Bethesda’s beloved Fallout classic, such is the effort that’s gone into creating this.

Though, some gamers argue that the “perfect template” for a Star Wars game has been hiding in New Vegas all along.

“Man, the more I play Fallout: New Vegas the more the game design feels like a perfect template for a Star Wars open world,” said @LiminalSpaceMan192.

They added, “The mix of guns and high tech melee weapons, the choices of factions, the limb injury/severing system. It's literally perfect.”

“Ever since Skyrim came out a decade ago I've been hoping for an open world SW game where you could serve the Empire! Finally we'll get something other than Disney's regurgitated good guy rebel bullshit,” @MCraven120 remarked.

Players looking to experience this PC masterpiece for themselves can do so for free, as previously mentioned.

If Star Wars Outlaws didn’t satisfy you, maybe this will.
