Red Dead Redemption fans need no longer worry about who would perfectly play Arthur Morgan in a live-action adaptation, for the ideal star has come forward.

Talk of a Red Dead Redemption 2 TV or film adaptation has been swirling for months now - back in March of this year, we all but received confirmation that it’s definitely on the horizon.

We're ready to see the outlaw life of Red Dead Redemption 2 in live action clarity

However, apart from a lot of wishing and hoping from the fandom, little details about whether an adaptation is happening have appeared.

That said, given the success of shows like The Last of Us and Fallout, now feels like the best time to take the plunge and make our RDR2 TV dreams a reality.

And should executives have doubts over who should star in the show, allow us to point you in the right direction.

During a panel, Walking Dead actor Jeffery Dean Morgan made it known, with no shred of uncertainty, that he would love to play Arthur Morgan.

“Oh f**ck, that’s the one I want to do,” he exclaimed when asked if he’d be up for taking on the iconic Rockstar Games role.

He added, “Not even a question.”

As much as we adore Roger Clark, if, for whatever reason, he’s unable to play Arthur again in a live-action rendition of the character, we’d be more than satisfied with Morgan answering the call.

With Morgan saying that he’d do it “in a heartbeat, for free” still ringing in our ears, we’re now more desperate than ever to hear official news that a TV series is on the way.

If he isn’t destined to play Arthur, though, fans believe Morgan would make an excellent Dutch; which we can see too.

Speaking of our dear Arthur, if you want to give him the life he deserves, there’s a way to do that that won’t leave you in tears.

Or maybe it will, but at least they’ll be happier tears than normal.
