Red Dead Redemption 2 star sheds light on cut-content, and it sounds amazing

Players have been theorising about one specific secret for years at this point, and Roger Clark just blew it wide open

Roger Clark, the voice of Red Dead Redemption 2’s protagonist Arthur Morgan, recently joined the YouTube channel Gamology to go over some of the easter eggs in the game.

Roger didn’t just go over the easter eggs in the game however, as he also confirmed some details about one piece of cut content players have been theorising about ever since the game first released.

Re-live the excitement of seeing this Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer for the first time...

Isabeau Katharina Zinsmeister is a princess players can find a missing poster for the Old Light Saloon. She’s referred to as the “Grand Duchy of Luxembourg”, and a $100 reward is offered for her safe return.

There’s also several more reference to the princess throughout the game, including an article mentioning her disappearance in the New Hanover Gazette and a fancy chest with her initials on it that can be located at the Van Horn Trading Post.

Considering how many times she’s mentioned in the game, players found it slightly odd that you can’t actually track down the princess anywhere in game.

Even stranger still, when Red Dead Redemption 2 would later be ported to PCs, players found that a model of the princess was hidden in the games files.

The model shared the exact same birthmark as the princess, confirming that it was indeed supposed to be the same person.

So, why did Rockstar go through all this trouble of setting this character up but never include her? As Roger Clark himself confirmed in the aforementioned video, it seems someone at Rockstar made the decision to cut the princess from the game entirely.

“Some of the easter eggs had things cut… we don’t see the full thing of what I did…” Roger told us.

“One example of that, I will say, is the princess…” he continued. “Well, I did dialogue where I found her… but it’s since been cut. I wouldn’t put it past Rockstar, y’know, maybe one of these patches they might just slip it in…”

Given Rockstar seems pretty done with RDR2 at this point, and how much other cut content has since been left on the cutting room floor, it seems unlikely they actually will add it back in but hey… stranger things have happened.
