Red Dead Redemption 2 finally has a 'happy ending' you can check out now

This is one of those happy endings not to be missed

There are plenty of things to say about Red Dead Redemption 2, but few of those comments have little to do with happy endings. And no, we don’t mean the one you’re all thinking of – minds out of the gutter, people!

Rockstar Games’ sequel is a spectacular example of when follow-ups to original games can exceed expectations. However, it’s not known for its heartwarming content, especially when you near the end of Arthur’s journey. When one 70-year-old gamer learnt of Arthur’s fate, it proved too much for them.

Ready to embark into the lawless world of Red Dead Redemption 2?

As if that wasn’t heartbreaking enough, there’s a 'final' ending that you’ve probably missed that fans believe is more gutting than the one we all know (and cry) about. All in all, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a rollercoaster of emotions, most of which are distressing rather than soothing.

But all that can be changed with the ‘1899 Happy Ending’ is exactly what you think it is: a way to get some wholesome closure after all the pain RDR2 put you through. You get to see a healthy and happy Arthur living out his days, unburdened by the events of the game.

Believe us when we say the call for such a mod has been around for some time, as proven by the sheer elation fans are feeling at finally playing it. “I was looking for something like this for a long time, great mod dude!” said one player. Another posted, “You are a wonderful person, I really appreciate this.”

Playing this after discovering what happens when a member of the Night Folk is tricked into the city will undoubtedly give you a feel-good overload. But what a way to go out! After all, we’ve been having to sob over the final farewell of RDR2, it’s a nice change of pace to be smiling from ear to ear.
