As I’m sure you’re now aware, The Last of Part I is available to enjoy on PlayStation Plus’ extra tier.

To coincide with The Last of Us Day, Naughty Dog’s 2022 remake of this acclaimed classic was added to the PlayStation subscription service.

If you’re yet to dive into this remake, wondering whether it’s indeed even necessary, then I’m here to tell you that you’re missing out by thinking that way.

In our review of The Last of Us Part I, I awarded the game a score of nine, writing, “It may not be the expanded edition some fans were wishfully hoping for, but The Last Of Us Part I is a remake that wholly improves on the original by utilising both the capabilities of the PlayStation 5 and The Last of Us Part II’s advanced mechanics. Fans have spent the last several weeks scrutinising teasers, but The Last of Us Part I offers an effect only truly appreciated when played as a whole - creating the immersive experience Naughty Dog could only dream of back in 2013.”

In addition to playing the game, you can actually bag yourself a little extra bonus too thanks to PlayStation Stars.

Take a look at The Last of Us Part I in action below.

It’s the ‘The Last of Us Part I Comes to PlayStation Plus’ campaign that you’ll want to draw your attention to.

Before you begin, press the ‘start’ button on the campaign to activate it.

As for what you can gain from this campaign, it’s a Clicker figurine digital collectible to add to your virtual shelves.

“Shh. Quiet. Do you hear that? No, it's not a Clicker. It's the sound of The Last of Us Part I coming to PS Plus Extra! Play this tense, emotional thriller to get a special digital collectible,” reads the campaign description.

Usually, I’m not particularly fussed about these little digital collectibles but I have to say, as a The Last of Us fan, I’ll be nabbing this one.

If you’re thinking along the same lines, I recommend acting sooner rather than later.

The campaign expires on 26 November, so you’re going to want to make sure you’ve loaded up The Last of Us Part I before then.

That shouldn’t be hard though because why would you want to wait that long?
