PS5 Confirms 2026 Cosy Sim, And There Goes My Free Time

This looks sweet

PlayStation owners are getting a real treat next year, a cosy simulation game that’s going to eat-up so much of your free time.

We all love a simulator game, don’t deny it. They’re not all made equally but if it’s something that we’re genuinely interested in or do on a daily basis, a simulation game about it is usually something that catches our attention.

Just look at PowerWash Simulator and its sequel, who’d have thought a game about cleaning would be so successful?

While not quite the same tempo, inKONBINI is another game that looks like it’ll occupy our time for a good, long while.

It’s described as a “third-person single-player simulation game centered around a small-town convenience store in the early 1990s. Shelve goods, engage in meaningful conversations with your customers, and see how choices you make impact their lives!”

There’s nothing sinister or off-putting about it, no secret encounter that turns the game into a horror, just running your store how you see fit and interacting with the locals.

It feels like the definition of cosy, and while there are plenty of other games like it, inKONBINI’s art style is more than enough to pique our interest.

More footage regarding the game was shown off yesterday during PlayStation’s State Of Play, which revealed some exciting games and updates from Japanese developers and publishers.

inKONBINI may have been overshadowed by the Elden Ring: Nightreign DLC and other titles, but it still shined brightly as a game deserves a spot on our wishlists.

At the time of writing inKONBINI is set for launch in April 2026, and will be playable on both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

It’s quite good timing actually because GTA VI was supposed to launch in May 2026 but has since been delayed to November, giving inKONBINI players plenty of time to enjoy the game before diving into their next AAA title.

What else did PlayStation’s State of Play deliver?

Quite a lot was shown off like the aforementioned Elden Ring: Nightreign DLC, with one of the most exciting announcements being an official gaming monitor from PlayStation.

Not only will it allow you to enjoy your games with crisp and clear visuals, it’ll even charge your controllers for you.

Another standout for me was the upcoming Marvel fighting game, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, which got a new gameplay trailer in addition to a closed network test announcement.
