PlayStation Plus subscribers in the UK, USA, and Japan can play three new games today, and it includes a highly rated action title that you can essentially play for free. So, we’ll let you know the latest additions to PS Plus in September 2026. As a reminder, while the UK, US, and Japan are on a phased rollout, all September titles are already available in other territories.
Those subscribed to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium gain access to three additional games today at no extra cost. Better yet, all three games are playable on both PS5 and PS4.
The latest additions include a high-octane action ninja game, a World War 2 shooter and a fantastic-looking indie RPG, all of which have (mostly) received positive reviews from the video game community.
Here’s what’s available for PS Plus Extra and Premium
Those games are: Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, Dungeons of Hinterberg and Sniper Elite: Resistance.

Developed by The Game Kitchen, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, the long-running action ninja series, returned with all the old-school vibes in 2025.
This is a side-scrolling action game with challenging platforming, enemies, boss battles and more. The pixel art visuals are an absolute delight and, above all else, it’s a fantastic game. Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound scored an impressive 84 on Metacritic.
“On the whole, I got a lot of joy from Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, and perhaps in different hands, more skilled hands, the opinion would be even more positive,” we said in our review, scoring it a “very good” 7/10.
“Perhaps those who will play this, yearning for the days of TMNT in a grotty arcade, will get a kick out of the quirks and eccentricities here. I have my complaints, but I’d still recommend this game to everyone I know who likes a challenge or appreciates the retro style.”

Dungeons of Hinterberg is a charming indie RPG that provides players with an emotional yet cosy sense of adventure. It instantly stands out with its gorgeous cel-shaded visuals and comic-book-inspired art style, but you’ll soon realise that this RPG is surprisingly deep when it comes to gameplay.
Explore dungeons, solve puzzles and battle monsters; all the ingredients you need to escape from the real world, even if it’s only for a few hours. Dungeons of Hinterberg currently holds a score of 80 on Metacritic.
“As a Zelda fan of nearly 30 years, it’s not easy to find a game that comes close to scratching that itch in a truly authentic way, but Dungeons of Hinterberg is the real deal,” we said in our review, scoring it an “excellent” 8/10.
“This is a real gem of a game that has managed to find a genuinely fresh new way to approach a well-worn genre. Like any holiday worth taking, there are some hiccups along the way, but you’ll find yourself thinking about going back to Hinterberg almost as soon as you leave.”

If you’re after something a little more cinematic with stealth and a hint of Call of Duty, then look no further than Sniper Elite: Resistance, developed by Rebellion. This game includes some brutal close-up, X-ray death scenes, which are especially enjoyable because you’ll be killing hordes of Nazi’s.
As Harry Hawker, it’s up to you to bring down a sinister weapon programme that can turn the tide of World War 2. Just try not to make too much noise while you're at it. Sniper Elite: Resistance has the lowest Metacritic score out of these three games with 70, but that’s not to say you won’t have a blast with this shooter.
