PlayStation drops 5 new free downloads, no PS Plus required

If you want to check out some PlayStation games for free without having to subscribe to PS Plus, then we have some recommendations for you.

As much as a great service both PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass are, they still cost us money with the subscription fee. We’d expect nothing less because we’re not going to be given hundreds of free video games, as awesome as that would be. Plus, it would kill the economy.

That being said, I’ve picked out five relatively new demos that you can download and play today courtesy of the PlayStation Store with no PS Plus subscription required.

• Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster: “Boundless freedom, endless brutality! Dead Rising, one of the most iconic zombie games ever made, returns with the power of RE Engine. The unique gameplay remains intact, but the graphics, sound, and playability have all been greatly improved! This demo lets you play from the start of the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.
• My First Grand Turismo “is a free-to-play, beginner-friendly introduction to the world of racing, crafted to bring the excitement of Gran Turismo to new players. Whether you’re a parent introducing your family to racing or a longtime fan revisiting the series, My First GT captures the essence of those unforgettable first laps in a streamlined, approachable experience.”
• Slitterhead: “Set in the densely cluttered streets of 'Kowlong,' filled with obscurity and chaos, this battle-action-adventure game casts players as the 'Hyoki,' an entity devoid of memory and physical form. His only motive is to eradicate the monstrous beings known as 'Slitterheads' crawling around the city, disguising themselves as humans.”
• PGA Tour 2K25 First Look: “Step up to the first tee and get started on your journey in the newest iteration of the best-selling and highest-rated golf sim franchise of the decade. Create your custom golfer and play the tight fairways, tough bunkers and stunning bodies of water at the famous TPC Scottsdale. Make your debut drive in this First Look—then carry your progress over to the full game!”
• The First Berserker - Khazan “is a hardcore action RPG based on the Dungeon Fighter Online (DnF) universe, Nexon's flagship IP with more than 800 million players worldwide. Set 800 years before the events of DnF, the game unfolds on the continent of Arad and explores the untold story of Khazan, the first Berserker.”
