Set some time aside for these

One of the perks of PlayStation Plus that often passes us by is the large catalogue of movies available to watch at any time.

You may not think of your PlayStation 5 as the thing to boot up when you want to watch a film, but if you’re a Premium subscriber, there’s a vast number of great films to watch.

It's not just a console for games - you can watch plenty of films, too.

Every month, Sony updates PlayStation Plus with new games to play, but they don’t neglect the films.

As reported on Reddit, by a very helpful user, the range of films added to Sony Pictures Core's PS Plus tier can be seen at a glance.

This month you can check out the likes of Big Fish, Look Who’s Talking, 30 Days of Night, and more.

I will personally recommend that phenomenal MOON, which is both bonkers and beautiful, properly great sci-fi.

Snatch is also on there, with Brad Pitt and a young Stephen Graham alongside Jason Statham. Easily one of my favourite comedies that I quote on a daily basis.

You might be wondering, but why would I use PlayStation Plus when I’ve got other streaming services.

Good question, and I’ll leave it a couple of Redditors to explain.

“The general streaming quality, IIRC, also seems way higher than most streaming services. I watched The Blob (1988) and Night of the Dead (1990) remake and they both looked terrific,” said veryoondoww.

This is backed up by thegimboid, who comments, “As someone who actually worked at a job where the entire role involved determining film and footage quality, it really is amazing. Where I was working, we actually used it as the gold standard for streaming quality.”

There may not be a lot on there this month to tempt you, but keep the service in mind from now on, and you might find a new favourite film on there.
