November’s PlayStation Plus lineup has been one of its best this year and that is in part due to an underrated open-world zombie epic that is aiming for its redemption arc.
First released in 2022 and added to PlayStation Plus this month, Dying Light 2: Stay Human is an action RPG and follow up to 2015’s Dying Light.

“Humanity is fighting a losing battle against the virus,” its official synopsis reads.

“Experience a post-apocalyptic open world overrun by hordes of zombies, where your parkour and combat skills are key to survival. Traverse the City freely during the day, but watch the monsters take over during the night.”
The story takes place 20 years after the events of the prequel and sees players take on the role of Aiden Caldwell, a wandering Pilgrim who spends his time delivering resources between the remaining settlements.
In a barren wasteland crawling with zombies, Aiden must navigate its deadly terrain but his one true goal is to find his little sister, Mia.
When he discovers that Mia may still be alive and being kept in the last city standing on Earth, Aiden sets out on a treacherous journey whilst battling with the ghosts of his past.

Upon release, Dying Light 2: Stay Human was not as well received as its predecessor but now two years on, fans are begging players to give it another chance.
“Dying Light 2 MUCH improved since 2023,” one user posted on r/PlayStation Plus.
“I bailed out on this game in May of 2023 after maybe five hours as it looked and ran terribly on PS5 compared to other games.
And even after playing through Dead Island 2 I'm still fairly impressed with Dying Light 2 in its current state.”

Although the comments did not share the same sentiment as the original poster, there is no harm in trying it out yourself, especially as it is free for PlayStation Plus members this month.
