One of the benefits of subscribing to PlayStation Plus, is being able to play classic games of yesteryear and this leaked beloved title will likely please a lot of Ratchet & Clank fans.

When it comes to popular video game franchises on Sony’s blue brand, Ratchet & Clank from Insomniac Games sits firmly alongside the likes of Uncharted, The Last of Us, God of War and more. So when we get an opportunity to play a classic entry in the Ratchet & Clank series, it’s bound to stir up excitement from the fans.

Check out the Secret Agent Clank trailer below!

The most recent game in the series is the brilliant Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart released in 2021 for the PlayStation 5 which earned a very respectable score of 88 on the aggregate website, Metacritic.

The classic game seemingly coming to PlayStation Plus soon is the Ratchet & Clank spin-off, Secret Agent Clank which is inspired by the iconic James Bond movies. Secret Agent Clank was originally released for the PlayStation Portable in 2008 before arriving on the PS2 the following year.

News of its pending PS Plus arrival began to make the social media rounds after an email was sent to subscribers (shared by Twitter user Radec) which suggests that the Secret Agent Clank announcement was revealed ahead of time accidentally by whoever is in charge of sending out the customer emails at Sony.

Secret Agent Clank will be included in the PlayStation Plus Premium tier, as this is the place where subscribers can play classics from the PS1, PS2, PS3 and PSP eras. The email also mentions another PS2 classic, Summoner.

Now that the proverbial cat is out of the bag, we expect Sony to make the official Secret Agent Clank PlayStation Plus announcement in the coming days and when that happens, we’ll keep you updated.
