PlayStation Plus subscribers treated to major early access bonus

PlayStation Plus subscribers are being offered the chance to buy tickets to early access screenings of Gran Turismo.

We’re mere hours away from finding out PlayStation Plus’ essential tier August line-up. It’s always an exciting day - and hopefully we won’t be let down by the next handful of offerings.

That also means that you only have a few more days to grab July’s line-up. It was a pretty decent month that consisted of Alan Wake Remastered, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Endling - Extinction is Forever. I’ve nabbed Alan Wake Remastered as there’s really no better time to catch up on the series ahead of the release of Alan Wake 2, which is set to land on 17 October and looks fantastic. Amidst all of the free game busyness though, PlayStation Plus is also offering subscribers an extra perk: access to early screenings of Gran Turismo ahead of the film’s release.

Take a look at the trailer for Gran Turismo below. The film is set to release on 9 August.

Gran Turismo, starring David Harbour, Geri Halliwell Horner, and Orlando Bloom is set to release on 9 August in the UK but select PlayStation Plus subscribers have been offered the opportunity to buy tickets to a number of advance screenings both in the US and UK. I say ‘select subscribers’ as the email offer seemingly hasn’t been rolled out to everyone. I can confirm that on the GAMINGbible team, only one person has so far received the email.

It reads, “Buy tickets for Early Access Shows of Gran Turismo in select cinemas on August 8. See the new movie, starring David Harbour, Orlando Bloom, and Archie Madekwe, before it hits cinemas on August 9.” It continues, “First come, first served. Get ready to be in the driver’s seat for the most anticipated movie of the summer.” Subscribers are then provided with an access link.

It’s not clear why this offer is seemingly so random so all we can recommend is that if you’re itching to see Gran Turismo and you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber, keep checking those emails.
