One of PlayStation Plus’ latest games is a banger, and one of the best new additions in years according to subscribers.

While every PlayStation Plus update is typically a hit or miss affair, it’s safe to say March’s latest offerings have gone down well in the eyes of fans, and the best game on offer this month is undoubtedly the action/fighting game Sifu.

Check out the action-packed world of Sifu below

Sifu is an action-focused beat-em-up game that’s easy to learn and difficult to master. If you’ve ever seen a one-take action scene from a film or TV show, Sifu is essentially that but in playable form, requiring patience, good timing and a bit of trial and error.

It features an awesome game mechanic where every time you die, you grow slightly older. As you age you become more focused and achieve further mastery of your martial arts, making you more powerful than you were the last time you tried an encounter. The downside is your frail old man body can’t receive the same amount of punishment, turning you into a glass cannon where every split-decision counts.

It’s an excellent game, but don’t just take our word for it, as PlayStation Plus subscribers are thrilled it’s playable for free now, and are urging others to give it a go.

One player said: “At first I thought I hated it, but once I got better, the fun really kicked in. Plus when the camera gets funky like that Oldboy sequence it is awesome.”

Another added; “I’m loving it, but also admit I turned the difficulty down to “student”. The whole vibe is amazing from the flowing combat to the perfect music.”

Finally one praised the challenge, saying: “insane game, love it. Master mode is truly an experience.”

Sifu is now a free download for all PlayStation Plus subscribers, alongside Destiny 2: The Witch Queen DLC, EA Sports F1 23 and Hello Neighbor 2.
