PlayStation Plus Extra users have been recommended a free game on the service that currently has an average rating of 4/5.

If you’re a gamer with a thirst for playing loads of different games but a limited budget, your best bet is subscribing to a service like PlayStation Plus.

For a small monthly fee, you basically get access to a wide variety of different games that you can play for as long as they remain available on the service.

One game that is currently being recommended to fans is Indika, which was added to PlayStation Plus Extra in August 2025 alongside bangers like Marvel's Spider Man Remastered and Mortal Kombat 1.

Originally released in 2024, Indika is an indie game where you play as a nun who sets off on a journey of self-discovery with the most unusual companion by her side, the devil himself.

Without spoiling too much, the game features rather unique approaches to storytelling and gameplay, and it’s well worth a download if you have access to PlayStation Plus Extra.

Indika On PlayStation Plus Has Quite A Few Fans

Over on the PlayStation Plus Reddit page, one user said that the game “hits different”, being neither good nor bad, also describing it as having a “very clear vision, a clear direction.”

While the original poster wasn’t sure if they liked Indika that much, many people in the comments were quick to come to the game’s defense.

“I liked Indika. Gaming can be so predictable and uniform but this game gave new experiences to me with beautifully visuals,” wrote one fan of the game in the comments. “Indie games like this and Obra Dinn and Blue Prince help to improve the gaming industry.”

“It's one of those games that show that the medium can be used for something more than entertainment. Some people will hate it for that, but I think we need those kind of games,” reads another comment in the same thread.

“I loved it. I'm interested in what else these devs do. But I also love themes on religion, identity, and mental illness generally,” a third comment reads.

If you’re interested in playing Indika, you can check it out on PS5 and PlayStation Plus Extra, where it has an average rating of 4.06 stars out of 5 from user reviews. It’s also available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch, if you don't have a PlayStation.
