PlayStation Plus To Potentially Lose Several Bangers in September

Some classics could be on the way out

PlayStation Plus has been on a really solid run of late, scooping up and adding a bunch of exciting games from major series to the flagship subscription service. Depending on the tier you subscribe to, those include Lies of P, Mortal Kombat 1, Resident Evil 1 & 2 and Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, and that's just what's on the table for August.

Unfortunately, the Sony giveth and the Sony taketh away, and games also leave the service all the time to make way for the myriad new arrivals. Just as fans try to work out what's coming next, many also speculate on what's on the way out, so they can play through before they disappear.

Over on Reddit, user Kayrakaanonline shared their calculations for which games could or should be on the way out in October of this year, and there are some great picks on there that you should definitely try before they disappear.

The headline act is Dead Island 2, which is one of the most likely to be removed, alongside smaller, but still impressive, games like Gris and The Last Clockwinder also on the chopping block. There is also an outside chance of The Devil in Me, Two Point Campus and Hogwarts Legacy disappearing in October, so that's a bunch of very high quality games to take advantage of if you get a wiggle on.

Though these are currently unconfirmed, the user has an excellent track record of sniffing out exactly what Sony's plans are for the service. Much of the calculations are based on one or two year deals expiring, with all of those games (aside from Hogwarts Legacy) added to the service exactly 12 months ago come October.

Whatever does happen, it might be worth playing it safe and giving them a go in case they are on the removal list.
