PlayStation Plus Gamers in Love With 'Incredible' Open-World RPG

Available now

PlayStation Plus players are currently in love with an open-world RPG that some have dubbed “incredible”.

If you’re a gamer on a smaller budget, services like PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass can be a gateway to broadening your horizons without breaking the bank.

Both of these subscriptions offer access to hundreds of different games, which can sometimes be a bit more enticing than spending £70 to buy a single game at launch.

One game that appears to be making the rounds on PlayStation Plus at the minute is Hogwarts Legacy, a game based on Warner Bros. Harry Potter universe.

“I can safely say this is one of my favourite video-games of all time,” wrote one user on Reddit. “The world building and attention to detail in this game is simply incredible. I was shocked by how good the visuals were and how satisfying the combat was.”

“I felt like HL was really ambitious for a first go at an open world, custom character HP game,” wrote a reply in the comments. “Definitely room to grow for a sequel but they had to make this game to learn from its gaps. Overall I really enjoyed it and am glad it was made.”

Some players, however, feel that the game is “boring” and not as enjoyable as other open world RPGs out at the moment.

“Tried it and thought it was kind of boring,” wrote one player in the same thread. “Most side quests are some fetch / collect tasks .. the loot system is weird, and feels unrewarding besides number go up."

“I played the tutorial and gave up. Not my cup of tea,” another wrote.

“It got dull very fast for me and there was no sense of proper accomplishment in it in probably 95% of its quests,” reads a third comment criticising the game’s pacing.

Hogwarts Legacy for PS4 and PS5 is currently included in PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscriptions.
