PlayStation Plus users have been urged to grab a new free title while it’s still available, before it permanently leaves the service next month.

In a thread over on r/PlayStationPlus titled “Grab High on Life while you can”, one user is adamant that players should snag the PlayStation Plus Essential monthly title before it disappears forever in March.

“I’m currently playing High on Life since it’s one of the PS Plus Essential games of the month,” states user More-Technology-9993 in the post.

“I feel like the gameplay could be tighter, but it’s funny as hell... I’d hate for folks to miss out on this.”

However, while the user who posted the thread is keen for people to grab the game before it disappears, the opinions on High On Life in the comments are decidedly mixed.

“I'm like six hours into it and I'm ready for it to be over. The enemies are generic and awful. Everything is too shiny. The sound mixing is atricious (playing this on a proper surround setup required me to adjust the levels of my surrounds repeatedly),” commented user stillyoinkgasp.

“Add repetitive synthetized music and medicore voice narration and... man. I really wanted to like this game, but it's like it tried too hard and yet somehow also not hard enough.”

“it's pretty fun but definitely a game to play in 30-45m sittings rather than burning a whole afternoon on it,” replied user ArghZombies.

“the comedy gets a bit much. and there's only so many 'F**ks' and 'Sh**s' you can get into a line of dialog before it starts to make your brain melt.”

Big agree, personally. I think for every genuinely funny moment in the game, there’s an equally cringe moment that just kind of detracts from the overall experience. Plus, the actual gameplay leaves much to be desired.

Either way, free is free. If you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber and you’ve yet to add this one to your collection, hop on ASAP and claim it before the month is up.
