The best game I’ve played this year just keeps finding new fans after its inclusion on PlayStation Plus, and there’s a good reason people can’t get it out of their minds after playing through it.

Hey, do you like puzzle games? Doesn’t matter. Just play this game and thank me later.

Yes, Blue Prince is a puzzle game, but it’s so much more than that. It’s clever, it’s brilliantly written, and, most importantly, it makes you feel like a genius.

“I’ve been avoiding any discussion of this game online until I finished it. I just beat it today after 30 hours (52 in game days). Really proud that I did it without looking up a single thing. This game was amazing,” writes user ToastBalancer.

“I loved the concept a lot… Shoutout to this subreddit because I didn’t even know about this game until the day it came out. I just saw that it was available at launch from folks here. Decided to try it out and have been constantly thinking about it even when I’m not playing.”

“This is one of my favourite games of recent memory. The pacing of it is fantastic, I always feel like I’m making a little bit of progress - just as it seems like I am starting to hit a dead end, I make a discovery that moves things forward by leaps and bounds,” replied user WhatALovelyLad.

“And it all feels like it happens organically too, not like the game is nudging me towards an answer or holding my hand. Packed with so many secrets and things to figure out, it makes me feel like a genius.”

I’m seeing a lot of you lot online saying you’re not gonna play this one because brain teasers are hard. My advice to you: bloody grow up.

I don’t care if you played some puzzle games in the past and got a little flustered. Nut up and lock in. If you don’t experience the best game that dropped this year because you’re scared of engaging your brain a little, boot up Solitaire and take your PlayStation 5 down to CEX, you wimp.

Why are you still reading this? Download Blue Prince. I will come to your house and make you install it, I swear to god.
