PlayStation Plus is home to one of the greatest games of all-time according to subscribers, and I have to agree.
If you have access to the extra tier, then I highly back the recommendation that you check out Citizen Sleeper.
This 2022 RPG sees you assume control of a ‘sleeper’, a human whose mind has been digitised so that you can occupy a robot body.

You’ll essentially control a sleeper who has assumed consciousness, sending you on a fight for freedom and survival amidst a Cyberpunk-esque metropolis.
The game boasts a very respectable score of 82 over on Metacritic, and it’ll only take you around seven hours or so to blast through the main story so there’s no reason why you shouldn’t give this one a go.
Balatro is now available on the essential tier.
As Reddit user twio_b95 puts it: “Don't sleep on Citizen Sleeper! Very few games got me in the feels like that one. One of the best written games I've ever played.”

User tastyugly added, “The feel-bad game of 2022 (which I absolutely loved).”
If you do enjoy the game, it actually now has a sequel, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector.
That title isn’t available on PlayStation Plus unfortunately, but I figured that if you do end up enjoying the first game, it’s worth seeking out.
In our review of the sequel, GAMINGbible’s Dan Lipscombe had this to say: “By the end of my adventure, I’d questioned so much about friendships, how society treats each other, and how emotions shape our outlook on the world. I was sad when it ended, I could have stayed here for many more hours. Citizen Sleeper 2 asks big questions, but never bludgeons you over the head with subtext, it simply asks you what you’d do in a certain situation, playing a chosen role.”

He continued, “It does so, bolstered by a robust dice-rolling system, and some genuinely astonishing writing, as if you were playing a TTRPG with your best friend guiding your hand.”
In related PlayStation Plus news, this month’s essential tier games are now available to enjoy.
You can get your hands on Balatro, Ark: Survival Ascended, and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun.
If it’s the May extra and premium tier additions that you’re after, those are due to be announced on 14 May - and as always, we’ll bring you the line-up as soon as it’s announced.
