PlayStation Plus gamers urged to check out '9.5/10' free game

"It’s like a mix of Batman Arkham and Max Payne. 9.5/10."

PlayStation Plus users are being urged to check out a “9.5/10” game on PlayStation 5 that feels like a mix of “Batman Arkham and Max Payne” while they still can.

With Nintendo’s decision to price some of their upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 titles at £75/$80, gamers are already starting to feel the pinch.

However, one user over on the r/PlayStationPlus subreddit has a solution: just play stuff included in your subscription instead.

“With game prices going up to 80–90$ psplus feels like a better deal,” writes user Delicious_Maize9656.

“You get a huge game library and every now and then, they add some real solid AAA titles like my latest favorite, Robocop rogue city. That game is a blast. It’s like a mix of Batman Arkham and Max Payne. 9.5/10.”

Now, I’ll be honest with you folks… I think they’re maybe overselling RoboCop: Rogue City by quite a lot here.

Woah, chill– put the pitchforks away. I still think RoboCop: Rogue City was a fun game. I’d maybe even be tempted to give it something close to an 8/10 myself.

But a 9.5/10? Brother, we’re definitely blowing things a little bit out of proportion here. I think the campaign starts to feel a bit samey after a while, and I also remember it being pretty buggy.

Still, I agree with the sentiment of the post at least. Games are about to get a lot more expensive, so stuff like PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass are a good way to combat the upcoming assault on your wallet.

Of course, as games start to become more expensive, I guess that means Sony and Microsoft will have to offer publishers larger sums to feature their games on said services… which could in turn mean that subscription prices could go up…

You know what, maybe it’s time to start investing in a different, cheaper hobby instead. I wonder how expensive fishing rods are?
