One of the most important RPGs ever made is currently free to download and keep on PlayStation Plus.

There are a ton of brilliant games on PlayStation Plus right now for subscribers on the Extra and Premium tier. In fact, just yesterday PlayStation announced another batch of games for PlayStation Plus Extra users, with a total combined playtime of over 650 hours. That's a lot of gaming.

Take a look at Undertale in action below!

Of course, there are so many free games on PlayStation Plus Extra that it can be a little tricky to work out where to focus your attention. The good news is that fellow subscribers are typically all too happy to share their top picks - and conversation around the newest bunch of titles quickly turned to one iconic RPG.

"Undertale should at least be attempted by everyone who hasn't yet played it," wrote one user on the PlayStation Plus subreddit. They're not wrong.

For those who might not know, Undertale is widely regarded as one of the all-time greats. Not only is it a completely revolutionary RPG, it's one of the most beautifully written and expertly layered video games of all time. It is a true a masterpiece, and one that should definitely be checked out by everyone.

What luck, then, that Undertale is one of the free games being offered for PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers.

While I can't imagine there are many who haven't already played this critically acclaimed and universally beloved title, PlayStation Plus is always good for attracting new players to older games.

Here's hoping that a whole new audience discovers Sans, Papyrus, and the gang for the first time. And I can't wait to see what they make of the genocide run. Oh boy.

Elsewhere, PlayStation Plus subscribers looking for something slightly more conventional can get their hands on 11 Assassin's Creed games and a whole bunch of Far Cry games. There really is a little something for everyone.
