PlayStation Plus is dropping some surprise free bonuses for subscribers, as part of its continued 15th anniversary celebrations.
Earlier this week, Sony announced the games that would be hitting PlayStation Plus Essential in August.
In addition to the new free games that will hit PlayStation Plus in August though, we’ve also had confirmation about another freebie hitting the service for subscribers.
As part of the PlayStation Plus 15th anniversary celebrations, Sony has revealed that more freebies will become available to subscribers, as was announced earlier in July.

This time, a special set of 15th Anniversary Avatars are up for grabs, based on games like Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, Diablo IV, God of War Ragnarök, and Twisted Metal.
These will be available at no additional cost, and should be available to claim as soon as they're ready.
Although it’s not much, it’s good to see that Sony is still throwing out little gifts for paying subscribers from time-to-time. It just adds a little extra value to the service.
These avatars will be available to assign to your online profile, where it can be viewed by other PlayStation Network members.

“Battle macabre puppets in a twisted soulslike take on well-known children’s tale, use your wits to survive sprawling maps filled with threats and relive an iconic anime first-hand with the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup for August,” reads the post on the PlayStation Blog regarding this new drop of free games.
As for the games that have been available in July, PlayStation Plus members have until 4th August, 2025 to add Diablo 4, The King of Fighters 15, and Jusant to their game libraries.
