Don't hang about

If you’re a PlayStation Plus users who’s recently renewed their membership, you may be able to claim some money back.

Getting PlayStation Plus for less is the number one aim for subscribers as the cost vs quality debate continues.

As a result, users are always looking for new ways to help their fellow subscribers out.

On r/PlayStationPlus, Unusual_Trade5917 shared a helpful bit of advice that may help you get more bang more your buck, as the saying goes.

According to the OP, if you want PS Plus Premium having already paid for Essential or Extra, you should request a refund rather than upgrade.

Right now there’s a deal to get 37 percent off Premium subscription.

In comparison, if you choose to upgrade instead, you only get 35 percent off the usual price.

Ergo, it works out cheaper to get a refund and repurchase using the latest Premium deal.

It’s no secret that PlayStation support isn’t the best, nor is it exactly easy to get a refund from the service.

Yet, according to several other users who’ve done as the OP suggested, PlayStation support is giving out those refunds.

“I just got off off a 45 minute hold in PlayStation chat but they granted my request for a refund of the PlayStation essential of $87 that I bought less than a week ago,” revealed LOTR3135. “Then, a few minutes ago, I paid $108 to upgrade to PlayStation premium.”

Redditor BroLil also had a positive experience using this tactic, “My subscription lapsed on the 4th of this month [...] Because of your post, I reached out to support and just got my year of extra refunded so I can purchase a year of premium for $40 less.”

“God bless you dear kind stranger! Just did it,” shared iminiki.

It seems that you still have time to claim your money back.

That being said, we’re not sure how long PlayStation will keep this up before it cottons on, therefore you should act sooner rather than later.
